She got her start by writing short stories in grade school, poems and newspaper articles in high school and college, then music reviews when she moved to Portland in 2006.

While navigating life she endured a truckload of trauma, so naturally she’s written a memoir, Bad Luck Boots, to share her incredible tale of survival with the world.

Now that her memoir is published, Nicci is busy writing two new books! Delevay Falls, a fictional tale of horror that highlights the magic and madness of the PNW, and a soon-to-be titled non-fiction collection of her essays concerning how amazing Portland, Oregon is!

She also plans to develop her plethora of scary story ideas into a bevy of horror masterpieces, so stay tuned for excerpts and details on those upcoming works.
